Terms & Conditions

This Agreement contains the complete terms and conditions under which A-Plus College Services. ("A-Plus") provides services to the Customer.

  1. Ownership of Property: The Customer has represented and warranted to the A-Plus they, he or she, is the legal owner or in lawful possession of the property and has legal right and authority to contract for services for all the property tendered. Each order is for one (1) student. The Customer shall not combine two or more students into one order. Such occurrence will incur an additional $350 charge.

  2. Pricing and Deposits, Payments: The minimum order is $250. All final invoices will be determined on a per-item basis. All pricing can be found at www.apluscollegestorage.com. The customer is reserving storage space in advance and hence payment is required at the time of order to confirm and process a reservation. The Customer hereby authorizes A-Plus to charge the Customer-provided credit card for the balance owing for the services rendered and any additional fees after deducting the initial deposit. The Customer acknowledges that they remain indebted to A-Plus for any balance owed on their account as a result of invalid credit card or e-check information, A-Plus’ inability to receive credit card authorizations, or for any other reason which prevents A-Plus from being paid for the services and any additional fees. If the Customer has failed to pay the charges for the services or any additional fees prior to the date of scheduled delivery of stored packages, A-Plus reserves the right to hold the Customer's possessions until payment has been received in full. The Customer acknowledges that their failure to pay their account in full prior to the delivery date could result in a change in the delivery date and the assessment of additional fees.

  3. Liability of A-Plus: (A.) A-Plus is not responsible for fragile articles damaged or broken during the moving and storage process. (B.) A-Plus is not responsible for any mechanical or electrical functionality such as but not limited to: radios, stereos, computers, TVs, or other such articles or appliances.
    (C.) A-Plus reserves the right to repack items that were improperly packed or sealed and overpacked boxes that break, at the company’s discretion for safe delivery of these items or boxes. The customer is responsible for the cost of labor and packing materials. Proper packing and safety precautions for our customer’s belongings is the sole responsibility of the Client.

  4. Pick-Up & Delivery: The Customer recognizes that A-Plus will not be held liable for items not present in their dorm room at pick-up and damage to their belongings after delivery has occurred. In the event that the Customer is not present during their delivery, A-Plus representatives will leave their belongings inside their room and A-Plus’ liability for the Customer's belongings will cease. A-Plus has no control who enters your room after you have left campus and assumes no liability for the Customer’s belongings. It could take up to three weeks to service all dorms/customers.

    All Customer items must be labeled/marked with Customer’s name for pick-up. Failure to do such, releases A-Plus from any and all liability. A-Plus will make its best attempt to contact customer if an unmarked item is called into question. ALL Plastic Units or IKEA Type Bags MUST BE EMPTY or will incur a $50 charge. (Use a box or request additional ones). An additional fee will apply if another pick-up is required. All Customer items must remain in Customer’s room. Failure to do such, releases A-Plus from any and all liability.
    The Customer recognizes that only loss or damage caused by the negligence of A-Plus will be covered by the A-Plus insurance policy, as described in these Terms and Conditions. Only physical damage to the exterior of the item will activate any insurance claim on the item.

    Payment for lost items will only go into place if the item is listed on the invoice. Payment for lost items will only be within our insurance guidelines. 

  5. Cancellation/Refund Policy: If cancellation occurs after April 25th, the payment will be forfeited. Prior to this deadline, refunds are paid, less a $ 50 fee which is charged to resell the space. Additionally, prior to the previously stated deadline, no refunds are made for cancellations after the packing supplies are delivered to the customer.

  6. Claims: (A.) As a condition precedent to recovery, claims must be made in writing and filed with the A-Plus within 14 days of the delivery date. (B.) A-Plus has the right to inspect and repair all alleged damages.

  7. Restrictions on Service: (A.) No service shall be rendered in the storage of articles of unusual value. The maximum declared value of a customer’s storage must not exceed $1,500.00. (B.) No service shall be rendered for items containing valuable such as jewelry, cash and or collectibles. (C.) All packages containing liquids such as shampoos, body soap, hairspray or other liquid goods will be accepted only in zip-locked bags and the customer acknowledges they are liable for any damages that their storage contents inflict on other customer’s property. (D.) A-Plus has the right to refuse packages or articles which are improperly packed or wrapped. (E) The customer acknowledges that A-Plus is indemnified from any responsibility or damages if the customer’s storage exceeds $ 1,500.00 (one thousand five hundred dollars) in value.

  8. Insurance: (A.) The Customer agrees that the released value of each package is no greater than $100 and that A-Plus’ liability is limited to $100 as long as packing instructions are adhered to. (B.) A-Plus does not insure items of intangible value, (sentimental or emotional, jewelry, extremely fragile items, and minor damages due to normal handling, damage due to heat, humidity or weather conditions during a pick-up, storage or delivery). A-Plus does not insure loose, unboxed or unpackaged items, such as electronics, laundry bins, or furniture (C.) Unlabeled boxes or items submitted for storage that cannot be verified do not qualify for any insurance coverage, (D.) A-Plus does not have control over how a customer packs the articles inside their boxes. Therefore insurance claims will be denied if the exterior of a box has no visible damage. The maximum insurance coverage available from A-Plus is one hundred dollars per box or article. The primary insurance coverage for a customer’s storage is their homeowner’s insurance. (E.) To the extent that the Customer does not obtain insurance coverage for the full value of their personal property stored or shipped with A-Plus, the Customer hereby agrees to assume all risk of loss, including damage or loss by burglary, fire, water, vandalism or vermin. A-Plus and A-Plus’ authorized representatives and employees will not be responsible for, and the Customer hereby releases from, any loss, liability, claim, expense, damage to property or injury to persons that could have been insured (including without limitation any loss arising from the active or passive acts, omission or negligence of A-Plus or its agents, authorized representatives and employees).

  9. Address, and or Change of Address: (A.) The customer’s full name, home address and home phone number are required on all packages. (B.) If a delivery or home address changes from the time this contract was entered, it is the customer’s responsibility to notify the A-Plus via email.

  10. A-Plus is privately owned & operated. A-Plus is not affiliated or recommended by Villanova University. A-Plus sets the delivery dates and times. Storage Services shall include the pickup, transportation, storage, and delivery of the Customer's possessions. The Customer shall present pre-packed personal goods to A-Plus at the time of pickup. A-Plus will return the goods to the Customer during dates and times established by A-Plus by considering school and dormitory schedules. (A.) If a pick-up or delivery is scheduled outside the dates determined by A-Plus, A-Plus reserves the right to charge additional fees. (B.) A-Plus reserves the right to change the pick-up and delivery date if email notification is given within 2 weeks prior to the original date (C.) The customer is responsible for meeting both the pick-up and delivery date and time. If the customer fails to do so, reasonable charges will apply to repeat the service. The driver schedules are set in advance so any changes requested within 5 days of your scheduled delivery will incur a fee of $ 100 for the A-Plus to re-do all of these functions.

  11. Special requests for early delivery of stored items: Out-of-schedule collection or delivery of storage require a minimum 1-week advance notice and fees for these services will apply. The four-month price term will still apply.

  12. Pricing for the services shall be in accordance with the pricing schedule contained on the A-Plus website. In addition, A-Plus will charge and the Customer will pay additional fees as described in this section. The purpose of the additional fees is to compensate A-Plus for expenses it incurs beyond those associated with the provision of services according to standard procedures. Additional Fees may be, at the discretion of A-Plus, charged for the following, as explained in the sections of this Agreement: Dorms without elevators - $20, Extra Box - $45 per box, Full Plastic Units not boxed - $50, Multiple attempts of pick up- $125, Redelivery After Failed Attempt - $125, Pick-Up or Delivery Outside Standard Dates - $175 and up, Late Change of Delivery Day or Location - $30, Late Billing Fee (after net-30) - $15, Extra-heavy boxes (over 50 lbs.) - $25.00, Unlabeled or mislabeled boxes - $30, Additional Abandonment Fees - Costs incurred when storage items are not claimed by the Customer.

  13. Delays and postponements. Certain occurrences are beyond the control of A-Plus such as traffic gridlock, campus parking restrictions during move-in and move-out, and acts of God. If a delay or postponement of a collection or delivery of storage is necessitated by the above-listed occurrence, the full extent of A-Plus’ liability will be the amount of the collection or delivery fee that was paid by the customer.

  14. Entire Agreement: This contract represents the entire agreement between parties hereto and cannot be modified except in writing and shall be deemed to apply to all of the property which A-Plus may now or any time in the future store, pack, transport or ship for the owner’s account.

  15. Privacy Policy: A-Plus promises not to sell or distribute your information to anyone where it is not related to the operations of A-Plus.

  16. Waiver: Except as specifically provided in this Agreement, the Customer waives any claims for damage or loss of any article against A-Plus and its employees. The Customer expressly releases and holds A-Plus, and its agents and employees harmless from any and all costs of processing any claim or defending any claim arising from this Agreement. The Customer expressly acknowledges that A-Plus is not a professional storer, mover or common carrier and waives the right to hold A-Plus to any laws or standards governing storers, movers or carriers.

  17. Applicable Law: This Agreement shall be governed, interpreted, and construed according to the law of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The Customer agrees that any court action pertaining to this agreement shall be conducted in courts of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
